Nerf has been creating toy weaponry for a long time to fulfill the desires of children and adults who would love to play around with their friends and family in mock battles just like their favorite action heroes in movies. Although the Nerf N-Strike Mega Mastodon may not help you win in a Nerf war, it is undoubtedly the best Nerf gun for ultimate fun and joy.
Many people may want to compare the Nerf N-Strike Mega Mastodon to all other Nerf toys and complain about how it’s not as accurate, fast, or effective as other Nerf weapons are. But the truth is that the hugeness of the Nerf Mega Mastodon is enough intimidation for your mock enemies. There’s also the fact that carrying the Mastodon makes you feel like a god among mere mortals and the star hero of an action film.
The Nerf N-Strike Mega Mastodon is the first ever motorized Nerf blaster with a rotating drum that can hold 24 darts. With rapid-fire speed, you can shoot 2 dozen mega whistler darts at your enemy while your enemy runs out of bullets. These mega whistler darts fire up to a hundred feet away.
This blaster requires 6 D batteries to work which are not included in the package when you purchase the blaster.
For a good battle and to maximize the potential of the Nerf N-Strike Mega Mastodon, you need to load the rotating drum with all the 24 darts, hold down the acceleration button to power up the motor, and then pull the trigger to blast the darts at your mock enemy standing less than 30 meters away from you.
The gun can be pretty heavy so it would be better if you put on the shoulder strap and hold the handle at the top.
Although the Mega Mastodon might be pretty heavy, it’s totally kid-friendly. The gun shoots automatically and it’s pretty easy to load with darts. But kids still need to be a little careful where they aim because although the darts are made of foam, they can launch a long way and it definitely hurts if you’re hit from a close range.
The Nerf N-Strike Mega Mastodon is a great gift for Christmas, or Halloween, or as a birthday present for your kid(s). Just remember that the Blaster is not suitable for kids under 3 years of age because it has small parts that may be choking hazards.
