We are past the 21st Century in the aftermath of the Great War that ravaged planet earth. It led to the destruction of nations, global disruption of climate, and casualties in their billions. This was a result of nuclear blasts, exposure to radiation, and the subsequent collapse of government and social structures. The rest of mankind that survive are sometimes seen donning equipment like this Fallout Power Armor Helmet to reflect radiation.

The events of the Fallout Game series are post-apocalyptic. No surprises here, but man is the architect of his downfall. As a result, mankind was set back several hundred years. This is the general theme of this action role-playing game. The player has to navigate this devastated world, accomplishing missions and objectives to survive and help other survivors.

Like the game… almost

In the game, as part of your gear, you get a T-51 power armor, which was the most advanced armor amongst infantry regiments before the Great War. This Power Armor Helmet is a replica of the headgear that goes with the T-51 power armor. It comes with an eyeslit, tubes that connect to a breathing apparatus, and filters.

Much unlike this replica, the actual helmet in the game can reflect laser and other radiation emissions without receiving any damage. This is thanks to a 10-micron-thick silver ablative coating. Also, the eyeslit for the element is made of bulletproof glass to protect you from any projectiles.

This replica (while looking pretty awesome in its own rights) does not have those extra laser reflection and bulletproof features.

Since this helmet is made of soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it is barely immune to radiation and hurled projectiles. But no one needs to know, right? As far as they are concerned, you are putting on a Fallout Power Armor Helmet bearing the full game properties. Just make sure you don’t actually try putting a bullet through the helmet to create an impression!

This cosplay headgear measures 25 x 28cm. It comes in only one size, which is a good fit for most adults. It is also very breathable, so there’s no chance you’ll suffocate.
