Description
The floating tap fountain is an ingenious optical trick. It consists of a curiously floating faucet above a pool or basin with an unlimited supply of water shooting out of it seemingly from nowhere. Despite the lack of visible support, the faucet stays amazingly stable and makes you wonder where all the water is coming from.
This amazing effect is accomplished by a transparent tube in the middle of the water column that holds the tap in place while also feeding it water poured from below. The water ascends the tube and exits at the top. The water column, which is typically turbulent, efficiently conceals the tube.
A magic faucet water fountain can be created using the following materials; galvanized rustic metal bucket, water faucet, rigid acrylic tubing, water pump, and some white pebbles. Tools required for the project include; a soldering station, cordless drill, drill bit set, glue gun, and 5 min epoxy.

I put it at the end of the table at the lobby in my office. Everyone who sees it loves it. Sometimes when children would come they would be amazed by it and will ask questions. We put multi-coloured lights around it to enhance the design. I love the style. We all love the style.

This optical illusion is pretty impressive. I’m happy that it looks convincing in person and to make it even more believable I placed it in my kitchen. My cousin was a little jumpy when he first saw it but upon closer inspection realized that it was a trick. He did admit that it got him.
