There is something about having a piece of the sky in your room. Be it some stars and moons from something like the Cosmos Star Projector Lamp, or a nice wallpaper with the sky at night – anything from the sky is always a win and this DIY Cloud Lamp is no exception!
The Cloud Lamp is actually a kit and not an already made lamp. The kit contains everything you need to make a beautiful lamp that floats like the clouds in your room. Making the lamp is so easy, even an eight year old child can easily assemble it without fuss.
Here’s what you get…
Easy-to-Shape Cotton
The cotton is just enough for a sizable cloud. It is very easy to put into whatever shape you like so that your cloud looks exactly as you want.
One Plastic Bottle With Lid
On arrival, everything you need is inside the plastic bottle and covered with the lid. While making the lamp, the bottle houses the lights and batteries.
Wireless Remote Control
Because why not?!
It would become a chore if you had to take the cloud down and manually turn off the lights inside the bottle all the time. So, the DIY Cloud Lamp comes with a well labeled wireless remote control that allows you to turn lights on or off and switch from one mode to another from the comfort of your bed.
Non-Woven Transparent Line
The line is used to create a hanging loop for your DIY Cloud Lamp. Simply poke holes at both ends of the bottle and pull the line through.
LED Lights
The led lights are attached to wires connected to a battery holder (holds 3 X AAA batteries). Lights could either be white or warm depending on your preference.
One DIY Awl
The awl is mainly for poking holes on the two ends of the plastic bottle where the transparent line would pass through. It’s sharp enough. So poking that hole will not be hard at all.
The DIY Cloud Lamp is very easy to assemble. Just get everything out of the bottle, then put in the lights and the batteries, poke holes in the bottle and put the transparent line in one hole and out of the other.
Last step is to apply gum on the bottle, cut and shape some cotton and then put on the bottle. Once the cotton has covered up the bottle, your cloud is ready!
The lights have quite a number of modes which you can comfortably switch to or from with the help of the remote control.
The cloud lamp looks great both during the day and at night. It is perfect for a kid’s room or nursery… or even your own bedroom or living room. Kids who love this will probably love the Cosmos Star Projector Lamp as well.
