- Lift your hips slightly off the seat.
- Keep pressing the control handle while slowly raising your hips, the seat will re-bound automatically.
- Once the seat starts to move, you can let go of the control handle.
- When the seat continues to rise to the position, it will make a “click” sound, and then it will be automatically locked.

My son has a specialized mountain bike and the original seat post that came with the bike had the tube fixed to the seat mount. It was a two piece aluminium configuration. As time went on, the connection between the post and the mount became so loose that it was difficult getting the seat to stay straight. This was why I needed this control adjustment seat tube.
